A Nice Place to Grow is a body of work that explores contemporary suburban space and it's abstract relationship to the people within it. Prefabricated apartment homes and industrial buildings are scattered throughout the suburban landscape, blurring the line between the domicile and the place of business. The photographs are meant to explore notions of conformity and an abstract rebellion with their attention to line, form and modernist ideas of minimalism; while subtle irony reveals an organic protest against compliance. |
