Juan Fernandez is a resident of Downer's Grove Illinois and a recent graduate of Columbia College Chicago. But his skill and talent for photography goes back much farther than that.

His style is a symmetry between passion and technical prowess, in a constant state of reaching toward perfection, not only for that one gorgeous shot or sharp angle, but for technical precision and mastery of the subject and the art. This mix-up of right and left brains makes his prints both impressive to see and invoking to experience.

Juan's laid-back personality and eagerness to teach and share make it hard to see just how obsessive he's been over the past ten years, creating and re-creating everything he thought he knew about fine art and photography. Right now as you read this, he's probably editing an image that ten minutes ago he thought was complete. But that is exactly what makes him not only such a talented artist but the person that he is, there is always something to learn and improve in all aspects of life. And while a photograph is a still image, the life it embodies continues to move and change.
